More about Resilient Roots

My passion for health began with food. At the end of my college career I looked around me and noticed how disconnected I was from what I was eating. I learned how to cook and grow food and discovered the interconnectedness of food and health. I began to have struggles with chronic illness and saw family members and community do the same. This strengthened what I was learning — Food is medicine —

After earning a master’s degree in nutrition and working as a nutrition educator, I stumbled upon health coaching by accident! I worked as a health coach for a wellness app and was hooked immediately. I was so excited to find a field that doesn’t rely solely on a doctor’s expertise or pill to fix the problem but rather one’s capacity to take charge of their health.

By combining my spiritual path, coaching experience, and nutrition expertise, I’ve developed my unique coaching style and passion for health. As your health coach I’ll help you determine what your dream of a healthy life looks like and take small, actionable steps to get there.
